Parentage: yakushimanum  x Doncaster.
Introduced: 1972 by Waterers 
Flower description: Pale lilac flowers passing to white. Flowers May. 
Height & habit: 80-100cm / 2.5 - 3.3ft approx in 10 years. Hoppy has a wide spreading habit and dark green foliage. 
Uses: Perfect for containers, the bold flowers provide a colourful display in spring and the evergreen foliage provides interest throughout the year. A good choice for the front of a mixed border or planting at the base of larger growing  Hardy Hybrid Rhododendrons.
