Parentage:  caucasicum x white flowered ponticum.
Introduced:  1850
Flower description: White flowers with a greenish-yellow blotch. Flowers March/April.
Height & habit: 1.2-2m/4-6ft in approx 10 years.  An evergreen, Cunningham’s White makes a compact shrub with dark green leaves.
Uses: The bold flowers bring a splash of colour to the garden in spring and the evergreen foliage makes a useful screen and backdrop to other plants for the rest of the year.

Parentage:  catawbiense hybrid
Introduced: pre 1900
Flower Description: Lilac buds open to fragrant white flowers, flushed mauve pink at the edges with a mustard coloured flare. Flowers late May/June
Height & habit: 1.5m / 5ft in approx. 10 years.  An evergreen, Gomer Waterer has a dense, compact rounded habit and rich green foliage.
Uses: The bold flowers bring a splash of colour to a border in spring and the evergreen foliage makes a useful screen and foil for other plants for the rest of the year.
