Flower description: Funnel shaped flowers of claret red with an array of black markings. Flowers May.
Height & habit: 1.2-2m/4-6ft approx. in 10 years.  An evergreen, Doncaster makes a compact dome shaped shrub with dark green leaves.
Uses: The bold flowers bring a splash of colour to the garden in spring and the evergreen foliage makes a useful screen and backdrop to other plants for the rest of the year.

Introduced: 1972
Flower description: Striking reddish-purple flowers with a reversed purplish-red blotch. Flowers May/June.
Height & habit: 1.2-2m/4-6ft approx. in 10 years.  An evergreen, Anah Krushke has dark green glossy foliage and a rounded habit.
