Parentage: (facteum hybrid x Fabia Group) x (yakushimanum 'Tangerine').
Introduced: 1971 by Waterers
Flower description: Glowing deep-red flowers with dark-brown spots. Flowers May/June.
Height & habit:  80-100cm / 2.5 - 3.3ft approx. in 10 years. Dopey makes a compact dense shrub with an erect habit and good dark green foliage.
Uses: Perfect for containers, the bold flowers provide a colourful display in spring and the evergreen foliage provides interest throughout the year. A good choice for the front of a mixed border or planting at the base of larger growing Hardy Hybrid Rhododendrons.

Introduced: 1970 by Waterers
Flower description: Scarlet-red flowers with dark red almost black spotting. Flowers May/June.
Height & habit:  80-100cm / 2.5 - 3.3ft approx. in 10 years. Venetian Chimes is slightly upright in growth with a fairly compact habit and light green leaves.
Uses: Perfect for containers, the bold flowers provide a colourful display in spring and the evergreen foliage provides interest throughout the year. A good choice for the front of a mixed border or planting at the base of larger growing Hardy Hybrid Rhododendrons.
